4 gunmen attacked this morning , bombing a hydroelectric plant Kabardino - Balkaria region of Russia , killing two people and injuring four others . Engine room of a large factory fire .

                                      Baksan is one in six power plants in the region.

Four bombs exploded , causing a large fire in the engine room of the 25 - megawatt hydroelectric Baksan . However , the fire was later extinguished .

According to the company RusHydro , the state company operating the plant, electricity supply is not affected .

“There is no risk of technical failures or any disaster , local officials said on television .

Local officials said they also had to stop water flowing from the dam , to prevent risk of flooding in downstream .
