A new generation of safety systems from famous German’s accessories manufacturers related to image analysis functions, the first model fitted on its luxury cars.

Like the previous generation system, Night Vision plus of Bosch provides high quality images of the area immediately in front of the car. Different is that these images are analyzed: pedestrians are identified and highlight on the screen, drivers have more time to react than to expect that only the light of headlights.

Camera system to observe the night Bosh using four devices to support each other to bring the image playback correctly on the area in front of the car. Infrared light “look” is 150 m away, 3 times compared with conventional headlights. Everything present in this area will be a camera mounted on the car ceiling, close windshield recorded. Image then controls a reception and playback high-resolution screen right behind the steering wheel.

A device to control another image analysis obtained from the camera to detect and distinguish between static and moving things. A sign of any movement, as a pedestrian, will show up brighter on the screen, giving drivers noted when the reaction.

This technology, named the Mercedes Night View Assist Plus, capable of appearing on both the S-class new generation.
