The existence of reindeer, animal pulling vehicle for Santa, are threatened by multiple threats such as mining and oil and climate change.

Species of mammals are revered in many cultures. Reindeer are the only species of deer in which both males and females have horns. We should remember that the reindeer have the role important to the ecosystem in the northern hemisphere. Protecting the land, environment and ecology is how we prevent the extinction of this species, Justina Ray, executive director of the genus Branch Conservation Association in Canada.
